Newport Landing Sportfishing offers a ¾ day open party fishing trip daily and limited load open party extended ¾ day trips when available.
The ¾ day and extended ¾ day trips fish Catalina Island and also costal areas from Long Beach to San Onofre and offshore.
The ¾ day and extended ¾ day trips target Yellowtail when present. These hard fighting fish reach weights of over 40 pounds and are very popular.
The standard ¾ day trips depart at 7am and return at 5pm.
The extended ¾ day trips depart at 6am and return at 6pm. These trips are limited to a maximum number of anglers that keeps at least half of the boat empty for extra room when fighting larger fish.
Along with targeting Yellowtail many other species of fish are also possible including White Sea Bass, Barracuda, Bonito, Calico Bass, Sand Bass, Halibut, and another two dozen species.
Hundreds of fish per trip is very common. The chance at a trophy game fish makes the ¾ day and extended ¾ day trips the most popular of all of our fishing trips.
The Patriot is our standard boat for ¾ day and limited load extended ¾ day trips. The Patriot has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and a full snack bar/kitchen that serves breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages.
