We offer both spinning and conventional rental equipment for your convenience. We also have a fully stocked on site tackle shop. So if you are in the market to get your own rod, reel, or gear one of our tackle specialist can help you out. We also carry California State fishing licenses. This makes us your one stop shop!
Licenses are required for any angler 16 years of age and older. The Department of Fish and Game also requires the licenses to be displayed above the waist in plain site at all times. We carry both 1-Day and annual licenses in our tackle shop prior to your departure. One-day license ............................ $13.00 The decision on where to fish is left up to the veteran Captain that is running your boat that day. However, here is where you might find yourself on your fishing trip: 1/2 DAY: Fishes local along the coast line. The half day fishes from Long Beach to Dana Point and all of the spots in between. 3/4 DAY: Fishes Catalina Island, offshore, or some of the local spots on the coast such as the Huntington Flats and Horseshoe Kelp. OVERNIGHT and MULTIDAY: Depends on the season. These trips can fish all of the above, further islands, and offshore for tuna and bigger fish. We do run in light rain, if it becomes extremely windy then we would cancel a trip. If the trip has already left the dock and conditions become unsafe or un-fishable, then we would issue a "Rain Check" either 1/2 fare or full fare depending on the time spent fishing. Do you have wheelchair access? We do not have formal wheelchair access. Our crew will assist in boarding the boat to make sure that the guest can attend. We do ask that the guest be in a non power chair. Guest must also take into consideration that boats are designed to keep water from flowing into cabins and galleys. This requiers highly lipped entery ways and sloped decks. We do not have an age limit on our boat. We leave that up to the parent/guardian. Here are a few helpful tips on bringing a young child out fishing. Try the halfday trip first. Make sure that the child can handle being out on the water for extended periods of time. Try bringing activities that will keep them entertained if they are not into the trip. Coloring books, board games, or pocket video game systems have been used in the past. NAUTILUS 72 x 19 (72 maximum
passengers) You can keep most of what you catch. Some fish have size requirments, and others are on a seasonal basis. The California Department of Fish and Game has also sets limits on how many of each species and the amount of total fish you can keep. Your crew member will be able to make you aware of these limits. Do you have someone to teach me how to fish? We have expert crew on board each boat that will assist you on your trips. They are avaiable for questions during the duration of your trip. They will help you rig your gear, recommend bait, and give you instructions on how to operate your equipment. If you would like a more exclusive instructions we suggest taking a private charter.
